We’re Andrew and Julia — two ocean lovers and avid kitesurfers who have always felt most at home where the sound of waves fills the air. After years of chasing sunsets, surf sessions, and quiet coastal escapes, we finally found our little piece of paradise right here in Sunset Beach, a spot we chose specifically for its perfect kite surfing conditions on our doorstep.
Our story together has been one long adventure — from our early travels exploring the coastlines of South Africa, to discovering hidden gems and small towns that felt like home. Over the years, we dreamed of creating a seaside retreat that reflected everything we love: open spaces, relaxed living, natural textures, and the feeling of calm that only the ocean can bring.
Finding Sunset Beach Villa...
When we first walked through the doors of this house, it wasn’t the picture-perfect beach home you see today. But we saw potential — sunlit rooms, the whisper of sea breeze through the dunes, and that unmistakable view that stole our hearts. Bit by bit, and with a lot of love (and paint!), we renovated every corner ourselves. From restoring old wood finishes to hand-selecting décor that told a story, this became a true passion project.
We wanted every detail to feel personal — from the natural tones and textures that mirror the beach just steps away, to the cozy touches that make you feel instantly at home. Our goal was simple: to create a space where guests can unwind, reconnect, and experience the same sense of peace that we feel here every day (and maybe even catch a perfect breeze for kiting!)
